Witherslack Hall Estate sits on the edge of the Winster Valley in Southern Lakeland. Bordered to the west by the river Winster and to the East by Whitbarrow Scar, this 2500 acre estate comprises the largest area of semi natural woodland in Cumbria. From the Farmhouse door step there are miles of footpaths, woodland tracks and open common land to explore. With views across the estuary and Morcambe Bay.

Whitbarrow – Howe Ridding Wood
Ancient woodland with exceptionally rich and interesting range of flowering plants. Coppice management benefits several species of butterfly and part of the reserve is a traditional orchard with Westmorland damson and apple trees.
